Cristiano Ronaldo made sure to fulfill paternal duties off the pitch as he spent quality time with Cristiano Jr.
The Real Madrid superstar officially launched the Nike Mercurial Superfly Chapter 5 boot on Friday in his home in the Spanish capital. The diamond-inspired collection was scheduled to be released to the public on September 29. According to Nike, the idea behind the design was mainly focused on Ronaldo’s goalscoring stats since moving from Manchester United in 2009.
The 32-year-old debuted the boot in the Champions league tie with Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday as he recorded a brace in a 1-3 victory for a dominant Los Blancos side. Well, the main reason behind the multi-colored knit cleats was evident in the performance of the Portuguese captain.
During the launch in his abode, the Number 7 man involved his first son in the exercise as he was presented with his pair of the new CR7 boot. He seemed to love the boot more than his father as he was pictured with a glaring smile on his face. Ronaldo got on the mini-pitch with the youngster to undertake some free-kicks. That’s real mentorship!
Young Cristiano is known to be a big fan of his dad’s antics on the field, especially his style of taking dead balls.
Watch Cristiano Ronaldo Junior take a nice shot with his new boot.
The high-flying forward will wear the cleats for the second time when Los Merengues host Tottenham Hotspur at the Santiago Bernabeu on October 17. Football fans can now get their Mercurial Superfly Chapter 5 boots in all Nike stores. Don’t forget to share your thoughts about the new release.
