The Real Madrid ace featured in a commercial where he test drove the new Bugatti Chiron.
Over a decade ago, Ronaldo featured in a Nike commercial in which he launched the Mercurial Vapor by racing the Bugatti Veyron. Somehow, the Portuguese ace emerged the victor in the speed contest against a car dubbed the fastest on the planet.
To confirm his fondness of the hypercar, the 32-year-old superstar athlete bought himself one of the flash motors last year.
The £1.7 million Bugatti Veyron was a toast to the football icon for successively helping Real Madrid and Portugal to European triumph in 2016. And the world’s fastest road car became spick-and-span in Ronaldo’s robust stable of cars.
However, makers of Bugatti have now unveiled a vehicle even more exorbitant. And the Chiron possesses the right firepower to redefine the word “fast”.
This time, Cristiano Ronaldo’s encounter with the French-made automobile wasn’t to race but it rather involved the four-time Ballon d’Or winner taking the latest masterpiece for a spin. The iconic number 7 uploaded the commercial on his official Instagram page.
There is no denying the Portuguese ace has a soft spot for cars but could he be aiming at something bigger other than a mere hobby? Could we see the ex-Manchester United stalwart inculcating the automobile business under the ever-growing CR7 brand at some point? Only time will be the judge.
