Ronaldo scores 71st international goal

The Portuguese skipper has equaled Miroslave Klose’s record of scoring 71 international goals by netting his country’s first in the friendly versus Sweden.

Gelson Martin’s cross from the right found the Real Madrid talisman, who coolly tapped the ball into the net. The four-time Ballon d’Or winner has now scored in five consecutive games for the Seleccao.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently tied in third place with the ex-German striker as Europe’s top international goalscorer [71]. What other way to reach the landmark than to do it in your hometown!
