It’s a tantalizing clash, knowing that Cristiano Ronaldo boasts 10 semi-final goals in the UEFA Champions League — more than any other player ever in the tournament. And in contrast to this massive achievement, Atletico Madrid are the team with the less amount of goals this term (13) among the four competitors left.
Another ironic fact is that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored as many goals in his Champions League career (100) as the entire group of Rojiblancos.

However, in the 2014 and 2016 UCL finals, he failed to find the back of the net from open play. Here’s a chance for Cristiano to challenge himself and destroy Atletico’s net in the semi-finals, this year.

Real Madrid’s semi-final first-leg clash against their cross-town rivals will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, May 2. The return leg is scheduled for the following week in Atleti’s backyard, on Wednesday, May 10, to be precise.
The Galacticos clearly dominate the semi-finals in terms of pedigree with 11 titles, more than five times more triumphs than all the other three semi-finalists combined. Indeed, Juventus count only two trophies in this competition whereas AS Monaco and Atletico Madrid are yet to taste Champions League silverware.
