The 2016 UEFA Best Player award is Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest addition to his glittering museum in his native Madeira.
Last Thursday, the 31-year-old forward became the oldest player to be awarded with Europe’s biggest individual continental prize. CR7 totally crushed his competitors in the race. He received 40 votes ahead of Atletico Madrid and France playmaker Antoine Griezmann (8) and club team mate Gareth Bale (7).
This triumph was Ronaldo’s second since the creation of the UEFA Best Player award back in 2011. On Instagram, the Portuguese forward posted the following picture of his magnificent prize.
His note included:
“This amazing award is available today in my museum. Madeira.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has been scooping awards and medal for fun, this year. He is the hot favorite to land the 2016 FIFA Ballon d’Or award.
