During the just-ended international break, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have offered an ear to the 24-year-old’s career worries. The news outlet further reports that the Spanish-based players in Portugal’s camp had a discussion on the matter; Gomes might be leaving the Blaugrana in January. The Catalan side is demanding a hefty price and had earlier rejected an offer from Juventus.

Still on transfer talk issues and it’s been revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo assisted Bernardo Silva during his switch from AS Monaco to Manchester City. The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Citizens from the French outfit for £43 million.

“When I was with Portugal at the Confederations Cup and about to sign, I asked Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani about the city. They told me how much they enjoyed it there,” Silva told FourFourTwo.

“They said the people were great and it’s a real football city. The Premier League is a competitive league with full stadiums each week. They both advised that it is a nice move.
