Cristiano Ronaldo stars in new UEFA EqualGame advert

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a strong admirer of social acts across the globe.

The Real Madrid forward joined other football stars in promoting the new UEFA initiative that centers on diversity, inclusion and accessibility in football. Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba along with female soccer star Ada Hegerberg feature in the video.

Explaining his reason for joining the noble crusade to UEFA, the 32-year-old reiterated on the part football played in his enviable success.

“I’m grateful for everything that football has done for me and my family and that is why I want to give back to society as often as I can. I see it as my responsibility, as a person and as a footballer. To try and bring happiness to as many people as I can, on and off the pitch.”

The video that was premiered on Monday, September 11 will also be used on Matchday 1 of the 2017/18 Champions League. Check the #EqualGame video below:
