The 32-year-old was cross-examined at the Spanish court over his 14.7 million euros tax evasion lawsuit on July 31.
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly fuming over a leaked video of his statement at the Pozuelo de Alarcon court. Jose Luis Sanchez of Chiringuito reports that the superstar asserts that the tape should be a private matter and not for the public eye.
The footage has the winger testifying to Judge Monica Gomez Ferrer. Out of fury, the Portugal forward reveals his wish to depart Spain for England due to the tax charge which he views as unfair.
“I never had any problems in England. As you know, my life is an open book and I never hide anything. It would be ridiculous of me. I will like to go back to England.
“My lawyers, advisers, Manchester and Real Madrid all tell me I’m not at fault for anything. I do not know what I’m doing here,” CR7 raged.
“Madam, I look into your eyes and tell you the truth. Call me here again and give me another penalty if you feel I’m lying. I have always asked the people who work for me to pay the dues. I always pay what the law says,” he continued.

In another section of the video, Ronaldo looks tensed and removes his suit. The Madeira born legend clearly hated the sad fact that he was even in court. He exclaimed in frustration:
“Where am I, even? Talking to that lady despite not being guilty of anything. Oh My God!”
According to Jugones, the star is contemplating on filing a lawsuit against Correio da Manha, the Portuguese website responsible for the leak. Interestingly, they are the same media firm whose microphone was thrown into a lake by Cristiano during the 2016 Euro Championship in France.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese skipper’s comments in court might be seen by fans as the right time for him to leave the Spanish capital after claiming several major gongs with Los Merengues. But he already has his sights set on further glory with the Spanish side. That said, we await the Seleccao’s top scorer decision on playing in Spain – or leaving his current club Real Madrid.
