Reports from Spain suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo is not prepared to leave Real Madrid for Chelsea anytime soon.
It is no secret that the Blues are in the market in search of a striker with last summer’s signing Alvaro Morata currently misfiring. The club has already been linked with moves for the likes of Andy Carrol and Peter Crouch in their desperate attempt to find a finisher.
Recent reports indicated that Antonio Conte’s side is now interested in bringing Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo to the Stamford Bridge, with Eden Hazard purportedly heading the other way in what will be a swap deal.
However, per Don Balon‘s latest report, Ronaldo feels indifferent about the switch due to his history with Manchester United. The Portuguese forward left the English heavyweights for Real Madrid after a successful six-year stint.
Having built a legacy by scoring 118 goals in 292 games and contributing to winning titles with the Red Devils, the iconic No. 7 believes he will betray the love fans of the club have for him by joining a close rival of his former side.
The paper further asserts that the current Ballon d’Or holder might have a change of heart considering he isn’t in great terms with Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho. This is also culminated by the fact that his favorable No. 7 jersey has been awarded to the club’s new signing Alexis Sanchez.
Nonetheless, no official approach has been made by Chelsea as things stand.
