Cristiano Ronaldo is back to kicking balls! He will be in action in the Portugal vs Algeria friendly match in midweek.
Following a glorious but demanding UEFA Champions League campaign which concluded on May 26 in Kiev, Cristiano Ronaldo was given the right to rest. The 33-year-old superstar spent his short holidays with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez on the beaches of Spain.
He was pictured at the Malaga airport last Sunday. The Portuguese captain has since joined the rest of the Seleccao in preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The European champions’ opener is just 11 days away from today. A crucial one it is as they will face La Furia Roja, a team against which they last lost on penalties in a competitive fixture (Euro 2012). Cristiano has just one game to test his match fitness for Russia 2018 and that is against Algeria on Thursday, June 7. Kick-off is at 15:15 ET/19:15 GMT.
The UEFA Euro 2016 winning skipper was away as Portugal drew 2-2 in Braga against Tunisia and 0-0 away to Belgium. A win in their last World Cup warm-up game would uplift the spirits of the Iberian country’s supporters.
