Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to Manchester United… but not as a Red Devil, of course!
The 2018/19 UEFA Champions League group stage draw took place on Thursday in Monaco. With the help of AC Milan legend Kaka and Uruguayan icon Diego Forlan, the 32 participating clubs found out their fate.
For the Old Lady led by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, it just had to be a matchup against Manchester United. While a trip back to Old Trafford is now on CR7’s agenda, the obvious question revolves around how many goals he will net at the Theatre of Dreams where he sharpened his skills and won the love of the home fans during his younger years.

Group H, made up of Juventus, Manchester United, Valencia, and Young Boys, is one of the toughest alongside Group B which consists of Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, PSV, and Internazionale. The 2018/19 UEFA Champions League campaign is set to kick off in three weeks from now with a trip to the Mestalla for Cristiano on Matchday 1. His return to Old Trafford is scheduled for October 23.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old athlete also scooped the UEFA Champions League Forward of the Year award during the ceremony. This prize comes as a reward for his influential 15 goals during Real Madrid’s title-winning 2017/18 UCL campaign. He however lost the UEFA Player of the Year award to ex-team mate Luka Modric.
