Did Cristiano Ronaldo just use his Halloween mask to communicate a subtle message related to the Kathryn Mayorga rape allegations?
It’s only last Thursday that Ronaldo granted an exclusive interview to France Football. In the encounter with the magazine of the Ballon d’Or organizers, he touched on several topics. One of those included the inevitable rape allegations saga.
The father-of-four, who is accused by an American lady named Kathryn Mayorga of raping her in his Las Vegas suite on 13 June 2009, has strongly refuted all claims made against him since the matter exploded through German newspaper Der Spiegel in late September 2018.
“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me,” Ronaldo tweeted in early October.
“Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.”
The football superstar went back into silence for weeks before opening up to the media, some ten days ago in the build-up to his Old Trafford return, on the rape claims. As per The Independent‘s transcript of the Manchester United vs Juventus’ pre-match press conference, Cristiano reiterated on that day:
“You didn’t listen to what I say. I am a happy man. We did the statement two weeks ago if I’m not wrong. I am glad, of course, I’m not going to lie in this situation. I’m very happy.
“My lawyers, they are confident and of course, I am, too. The most important, is I enjoy the football, I enjoy my life. The rest, I have people who take care of my life. Of course, the truth is always coming in the first position. So, I’m good.”
Evidently, the media’s curiosity did not end there. In their latest issue, France Football offered the reigning Ballon d’Or titleholder a platform to further express himself on Kathryn Mayorga’s rape allegations.
“Of course, this story is interfering in my life,” Cristiano admitted.
“I have a partner, four children, an aging mother, sisters, a brother, a family with whom I am very close.”
This time, CR7 did more than just underline his innocence. He also issued a warning, stating:
“I know who I am and what I did. The truth will be out one day. And the people who criticize me or seek to expose my life today, who make it into a circus, these people will see.”
Circus is the keyword and Ronaldo might have vowed to turn “these people” into clowns. At least, that’s what his choice of Halloween mask on Wednesday seems to reveal.
Cristiano Ronaldo & his family be like: "The people who seek to make my life a circus will make a clown of themselves."

At this point in his life, the 33-year-old dad’s first priority is certainly to save both his reputation and the set-up of his growing family made of his partner Georgina Rodriguez and four kids, Cristiano Ronaldo Junior, Mateo, Eva, and Alana Martina.
